How to cut EconoSpace

After swiping and cleaning the glass, attach a small piece of EconoSpace to one corner of the glass to use as a gauge for spacing the first side. (See illustrations at left) Attach the first side against the gauge piece and cut the other end flush with the edge of the glass as shown. Continue around the other three sides of the glass in the same manner. If you use sharp anvil pruners or fillet shears, the EconoSpace won't crush and you'll get a nice clean cut.

Nope!

Make sure that the top piece of EconoSpace in the frame goes all the way from edge to edge of the glass as shown at left.

This method will support the ends of the EconoSpace to help prevent the top piece from sagging when the adhesive finally succumbs to the ravages of gravity and time.

If you cut the EconoSpace "on edge" as shown, it has less of a tendency to crush. Butt joints will appear as if they have been mitered without having to be so precise (center diagram).
